The Nomad Overland Rally is built around 12 Overland Stages that teams do over 10 weeks during the summer. Each Stage is a day of travel that includes some time on the dirt. Teams can also have outdoor adventures to earn more points. And for full points a Stage day starts or ends at camp.

Teams earn points for exploring and adventures as they go. All kinds of outdoor activities can be combined with their Overland Stages to make a unique Rally experience.

Teams can do their Overland Stages anywhere within the USA. They choose their own routes and their own level of challenge. The teams submit their point proofs online and the Leaderboard is updated weekly throughout the ten weeks of competition.

Nomad Teams are encouraged to really experience the backcountry and to take time to appreciate the incredible places they are traveling through. Photo Quests reward them with points for things like stopping to watch a sunset or observe the wildlife.
