Week 2 had our Nomad Teams busy across the country. More teams completed their first Overland Stages and some teams focused on grabbing as many of the “easy-to-find” PhotoQuests as possible. Team 115 Newcomb, continued their exploration around Utah, and is our first team to top 1,000 points this year, holding on to first place. Team 117 Lucas jumped up into second place, with a good start on their Overland Stages in northern Arizona this week. Team 111 Potter moved into third place, exploring the beautiful Sand Hills of Nebraska. With more teams beginning to log their first Overland Stages, the Leaderboard will start to shift in the coming weeks. Some of the Teams were “challenged” by Weekly Challenge #2, which tested their Topo Map Reading skills. And a number of teams have yet to even attempt it, but they still have this week to get it done. Meanwhile a new Weekly Challenge was released today — Weekly Challenge #3 takes a look at Weather Awareness in the backcountry.
