2026 Leaderboard: Week 6

Six weeks into the 2026 Nomad Rally, the Leaderboard is beginning to reveal where this season may ultimately be won—or lost. The front-runners continue to set a blistering pace, but behind them the rest of the field is closing ranks in what is becoming one of the most competitive stretches of the Rally. The baseline for reaching the upper ranks has risen, proving that teams are sharpening their logistics, tracking routines, and operational consistency across the board. At the very top, the order remains unchanged, but the point totals continue to reach impressive new milestones. In 1st Place, Team 117 Lucas refuses to lift off the throttle. Another highly efficient week of tracking and activities has propelled them to 4,648 points, reinforcing their position as the benchmark of this year’s Rally. In 2nd Place, Team 101 Mercer continues to keep the front-runners firmly within their sights. A huge week exploring around Colorado has pushed them to 3,770 points, leaving them well positioned to capitalize on any opportunity. In 3rd Place, Team 112 Venrick continues their outstanding rookie campaign. Consistently validating their podium status, they have officially crossed the 3,000-point mark and now stand at 3,061 points. While the top three maintain their grip on the podium, the real story of Week 6 is the growing depth throughout the field. The mid-pack has transformed countless trail hours into serious scoring momentum: 12 teams have now surpassed the 1,000-point mark, 7 teams have broken through 2,000 points, and 3 teams have climbed into the 3,000-point stratosphere. That rising tide is tightening the margins throughout the Leaderboard. As late-season Overland Stages begin to compound, a single high-yield weekend could trigger a major shake-up across the standings. For their Weekly Challenge, last week, the Teams dove deep into the airwaves demonstrating their knowledge of radios and trail communications. Competitors proved their rigs are more than capable overland vehicles—they’re fully equipped communication platforms designed to stay connected when the grid goes dark. For Weekly Challenge #7 we’re leaving the electronics behind. It’s time to go completely analog and test the timeless fundamentals of backcountry survival. This week’s challenge focuses on outdoor skills, wilderness survival, bushcraft, and natural navigation. Rigs can break down and batteries can fail—but when technology disappears, survival depends entirely on knowledge and experience. Teams will be tested on firecraft, shelter building, water procurement, and reading the landscape, stars, and natural signs to find their way without a compass.
