Heidi Bailly has called Buckeye, Arizona home since 2021 after spending 17 years in Minnesota. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, she served 14 years on active duty as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense Specialist. Following her military service, she earned her college degree and built a successful career in health and medical research, where she has spent more than a decade managing research projects focused on improving patient care and outcomes.

In 2025, Heidi took on one of her biggest adventures yet as a navigator in the Rebelle Rally, the longest competitive off-road navigation rally in the United States. While she had hoped to return to the Rebelle Rally in 2026, family priorities and life’s unexpected challenges led her to postpone that goal and set her sights on returning to the start line in 2027.

Now embarking on a new journey as a first-time Nomad Overland Rally competitor, Heidi is excited to explore some of the country’s most remote and scenic backroads in her Marsh Gray 2025 Ford Bronco Badlands Sasquatch, affectionately known as “Rogue.” Along the way, she may occasionally be joined by her husband and part-time teammate, Todd, whenever his schedule allows.

Always eager for the next adventure, Heidi believes the best roads are the ones not found on the map.
