Sheila currently resides in Smithville, Texas just outside of Austin. She has 30 years in the nursing profession with a primary background in trauma and forensics. In her current role she works with hospitals all across the state on quality improvement and patient safety.

Sheila has ridden motorcycles, driven sportscars, but found her way to the off-road scene when she traded her Roush S3 Mustang for a 2015 Hard Rock Rubicon. Selling her GSX-R600, she put the first mods on her jeep, hit the trails and hasn’t looked back since. She loves giving back to the community and does so through work in disaster response, charity events, and joining the jeep community in things such as Wheelers for the Wounded Texas. She met her boyfriend, Zack, while doing search and rescue after Hurricane Harvey devastated the Texas coast.

In 2022 she teamed up with Raelynn Roderick of Prescott Valley, Az and competed in the Rebelle Rally for the first time. They competed in the 4X4 category utilizing her 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon affectionately known as YOLO, because you only live once so live it well! Sheila and Raelynn were barely across the finish line when they were already registering for 2023 so they will hit the starting line again in October.

When she isn’t enjoying the Gladiator, Sheila hits the harder trails in her rear-steer tube chassis buggy. She also likes to take in the outdoors whether it is by hunting, fishing or camping. You might also find her wrenching on cars in shop. She actually helped rebuild a ’76 Corvette that she got for a graduation present. She is looking forward to the Nomad Overland Rally. While she may do some of this solo her teammate will be her boyfriend Zack who is also very involved in off-road activities.
