The Nomad Teams started Week 1 hot out of the gate, with a number of teams already out on Overland Stages and racking up points for activities. Team 117 Lucas logged over 1,000 points this week by strategically combining Stages and Activities, putting them in first place. Several other teams also grabbed a whole lot of points using different strategies and grabbing a lot of the easy-to-find Photo Quests. Week 1 also saw our first Team complete the Falken Tire Precision Challenge! Just one week into the event, there are still a lot of teams who haven’t begun their Overland Stages yet — they have ten weeks to do the Stages. A few teams are in the middle of travel and others are still in their planning phases. We will see a lot more adventures over the coming weeks. We were very pleased to see how well all the Teams did with Weekly Challenge #1, which focuses on Tread Lightly principles and Responsible Land Usage. This Week’s Challenge #2 will test their Topo Map Reading skills.
